Volunteers Needed to Secure the Future of Darkness Into Light Loughrea
Volunteers Needed to Secure the Future of Darkness Into Light Loughrea
Darkness Into Light has been a cherished part of the Loughrea community since 2017, offering hope, solidarity, and a powerful shared experience for all who take part. Over the years, the event has been organised entirely by a dedicated voluntary committee whose work has ensured its continued success. However, the committee now urgently needs new volunteers. Without additional people stepping forward to help organise this year’s walk, it will not be possible for the Loughrea event to take place this May.
A public meeting will be held next week for anyone interested in supporting the continuation of Darkness Into Light in Loughrea:
McNamee’s Bar, Bride Street, Loughrea
Thursday, 19 March at 8:30pm
Community members of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. Whether someone can offer a significant amount of time or simply contribute in a small way, fresh ideas and new energy are warmly welcomed.
By coming together, the people of Loughrea can help ensure that Darkness Into Light continues to bring comfort, connection, and hope to the community for years to come.
