Gaelscoil Riabhach Winners of ReelLIFE SCIENCE Awards 2023

Congratulations to Gaelscoil Riabhach – Winners of ReelLIFE SCIENCE Awards 2023! Maith sibh gach duine!

The ReelLIFE SCIENCE Awards 2023 took place on Sunday, 12 November, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the Galway Science & Technology Festival held at the University of Galway.

Twenty-two 4th class students from Gaelscoil Riabhach in Loughrea, stole the spotlight. Guided by their teacher, Brian Ó Meacháin, they secured the prestigious 1st Prize and a €1,000 cash reward for their video, ‘Creatha Talún.’ Their video not only unravelled the intricacies of earthquakes but also brought the visuals of volcanoes to life.

As part of the 11th Annual ReelLIFE SCIENCE Awards, ReelLIFE SCIENCE states that ‘More than 400 short science films were entered into the competition created by 2,600 young science enthusiasts in 131 schools and youth groups taking part across the island of Ireland.’ All winners and more information available here https://reellifescience.com/…/reellife-science-2023…/
