We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hotel Accounts Assistant to join the team at the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa in Co. Galway.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Hotel Accounts role. The Hotel Accounts Asistant will assist the Accounts Team with all accountancy aspects of the day to day running of the Accounts Department. You must have high standards, attention to detail and excellent communication and organisational skills.

Job Description – Hotel Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: Hotel Accountant / Group Financial Controller

Purpose of the Role:

This position reports to the Hotel Accountant and Group Financial Controller. The candidate will be responsible and accountable for sales reporting, cash control and reconciliations and income audit controls.

Main Duties:

Duties will include

· Daily sales reporting and balancing.

· Reconciling all Opera POS accounts to Micros,

· Daily reconciling of all cash drops to till reads.

· Balancing cash, credit cards and gift cards daily to third party software

· preparing bank lodgement weekly,

· Counting and maintaining notes / cash mix in all safes in the property,

· Weekly sales reporting and till differences analysis.

· Posting and filing all delivery dockets, purchase invoices and supplier statements.

· All adhoc reports preparation and office duties as assigned by the hotel accountant

Skills Required:

· Accuracy with strong attention to detail

· Timely reporting of all accounting information in line with property and group deadlines

· Confidential handling of all information and procedures within the department.

· Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products

Full training will be provided on all POS, PMS, Procurement and Financial Systems

We would anticipate the role evolving, after training is provided to create systems knowledge and accounting competence, to a position of running the entire accounts office and accounting function in any of the Group Hotels.
