An Evening with Mark Little โ The Last Good Day on the Internet
Mount Carmel, Loughrea, will host its first author evening on Thursday 22 October at 7.30pm, featuring journalist, entrepreneur and author Mark Little.

Many will remember Mark from RTร. He later founded Storyful and Kinzen and worked with Twitter and Spotify, giving him a rare inside view of how the online world was built – and how it changed.
The book traces the internetโs journey from its early days of curiosity and connection to the attention economy, algorithms and misinformation that shape online life today. As artificial intelligence brings another wave of change, Mark explores whether there is still an opportunity to shape the internet for the better.
This is not a conversation reserved for technology experts. It is about everyday life: how people get their news, how communities communicate, and the kind of online world in which children are growing up.
Mark will be in conversation with local entrepreneur, Mike Feerick, followed by questions from the audience.
The โฌ20 ticket includes a signed copy of the book, with an RRP of โฌ22.49, signed by Mark on the night.
