Wed. 15 July: NEW Memory Café in Loughrea Family & Community Resource Centre | 2pm-4pm (and then the 3rd Wednesday of each month). The café is designed to reduce social isolation, improve well-being, and foster a sense of community among individuals affected by dementia. By offering a calm and inclusive space, it is intended to provide a supportive environment for individuals living with cognitive impairment and their carers. It offers opportunities to meet others, share experiences, and access information and resources related to dementia care. For more information contact Joanne Waters on 087 2705073.

Thur. 16 July: Coffee & Bubbles Day at Gùna Deas (H62 WV10) in memory of Linda Conroy Ward, with all proceeds to the Irish Cancer Society. 11am-3pm.

Thur. 16 July: Social Golf at Loughrea Golf Club. Juniors and adults welcome. €4 – register in Clubhouse. Refreshments & prize giving in restaurant after game. 5.30pm. No need to book.

Thur. 16 July: Carmelite Abbey tidy-up: In preparation for Cemetery Sunday, (taking place at The Carmelite Abbey on Sunday, 16th August 2026 at 6 p.m.), grave plot owners are kindly asked to tidy and maintain their family graves in advance. Voluntary assistance will be available every Thursday evening throughout July (7 pm). The support and participation of the community are sincerely appreciated.
