The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-driven administrator to join our team and gain HR experience. This is an office role based in Loughrea, Co. Galway, initially on a 1 year contract with a possible extension.

Reporting to the HR Generalist, the successful candidate will provide quality administration support to a small but dynamic HR team and will work with departmental colleagues and key managers in the continuous provision of the full range of HR support services within Glan Agua.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare employment contracts and starter packs for new joiners to the Company, ensuring that all items on the new hire checklist are completed in a timely manner.
  • Creation and maintaining of employee personnel files. Setting up new starts on HRIS (Success factors);
  • Assisting with the administration of various compensation and benefits matters (Bike to Work, Pension applications, Salary certificates, Work confirmation letters etc);
  • Performing general admin associated with the position – letters, filing, photocopying, scanning.
  • Preparing HR reports when required (i.e. sick leave, headcounts, probation reviews)
  • Point of contact for general HR queries from employees and management.
  • Assisting with organisation of staff communication forums, implementing the employee wellbeing agenda and employee communications
  • Ad-hoc HR admin and HR project related tasks when required.

The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter who takes ownership of their work and has the ability to hit the ground running while dealing with multiple priorities. To be successful you will possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Diplomacy and confidentiality skills essential.
  • Must be very well organised and ability to work with multiple priorities and towards deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • A third level qualification in Human Resources and/or previous experience in an Admin role will be highly regarded.
