Local Businesses Supporting Local Community: A Heart‑Warming Act of Kindness in Loughrea

A recent appeal from SVP – Vincent’s Loughrea has highlighted once again the generosity and community spirit that defines the town. As part of ongoing renovations to their shop, the organisation reached out on social media seeking a television that could be used to display weekly specials and important information for customers.

The request was simple but significant for the charity shop’s operations. The response from the local business community was immediate and uplifting.

Thanks to the generosity of Ohk Energy and Dave Reilly, a brand‑new television, complete with wall mount, was donated to the shop. The installation was carried out by dedicated volunteers Pat Fortune and Keith Griffin, whose efforts ensured the new display was set up perfectly and ready for use.

In a message shared on their Facebook page, SVP – Vincent’s Loughrea expressed their gratitude, saying:

“The kindness of our community can honestly leave a person speechless. A huge thank you to Dave Reilly and everyone at Ohk Energy for the donation of a brand new TV (complete with mount) for our shop. We appreciate your thoughtfulness after our call for help.”

This gesture is an example of how local businesses and volunteers continue to support one another, strengthening the fabric of the Loughrea community.
